Arnaud is heading the Gommyr team and brings more than 10 years experience in the renewable energy field. He was previously managing the Piraeus Clean Energy fund, investing in renewable energy projects in South-East Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean region, and working as a manager with McKinsey in the energy, renewables and climate change sectors across Europe and Africa.

Arnaud has also worked as an engineer and manager with a number of start-ups in the high tech sector in Canada. Arnaud holds a BEng in Electrical Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from INSEAD.

Tristan Mackie

Microgrid Project Developer

Tristan brings over 30 years of renewable energy experience to the team, both in business and project development, and has lead his own renewable energy company for over 20 years. He has developed wind and solar PV projects across 3 continents both leading and supporting project teams and is working with us to bring that experience to bear in our African projects and elsewhere. He has an HND in Mechanical Engineering and many years’ experience in sales and marketing.

Our projects benefit from his technical background and his business development skills will be used to assess new markets and projects. His knowledge of contracts and documentation will be used to good effect in eStreet. In his free time, he works with a UK men’s Charity – A Band of Brothers – an award-winning charity helping young men grow and develop, improving their lives and the communities they live in.

David Corcoles Fernandez

Microgrid Engineer

David is an Energy Engineer at Gommyr Power Networks, where he is working on several projects. He is mainly focused on system design and techno-economic analysis of microgrids and other decentralized energy solutions, such as solar-street lighting.

David has a BSc in Aerospace Engineering at the Technical University of Madrid and an international Master in Renewable Energy. He is fluent in Spanish and English. He is also involved in an association named “Sustainability by Education”, which aims at teaching about energy and sustainability in schools. In his free time, he enjoys travelling and playing music.

Giacomo Manzoni

Technical Advisor

Giacomo Manzoni holds a Master Degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano with specialization in Energy for a Sustainable Development. He started his career in the IT sector, where he worked in the R&D team on Blockchain and Natural Processing Languages application. Then he joined an engineering and consultancy company in the sector of Energy and Infrastructure, Stantec, as a Project Engineer. Thanks to this experience he gained many competencies working with professionals on several topics: the most crucial were related to feasibility studies and design of utility-scale PV and wind power plants.

He has also participated in different volunteering actions, one of which was in Senegal, thanks to a project of Engineering without Borders and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy. In Senegal, he participated in many interesting workshops in energy, rural development, and environmental impact in villages. In his free time, he loves reading essays and books, as well as practising outdoor sports, such as trekking and jogging.
